Hey, remember when Kakayoin could paint your picture, and then swipe the painting with a brush and it would cut you?

Seems like that would have been a good power to use at any other point in the series.

Any way, Time Stop is exactly the kind of power one would expect a Big Bad to have. I'm interested to see what happens when you give Guldo from DBZ's power to someone who doesn't completely suck in combat.

I'm pissed Joseph is dead. I was really hoping this arc would end with a Sunlight Yellow Overdrive to the face.

Oh, that existed too. It would have been even more imbalanced from a plot point of view than Time-Stop.

I really had hoped Jotaro would have reacted fast enough to the knife at Joseph. Oh well, he was cool. Heirophant's theme was cool as hell as well. :'(

What IS imbalanced is that The World seems to be everything that Star Platinum is with Time-Stop.

My guess was that Star Platinum will be so fast that it can move despite time being stopped ... or being slowed down in that case. But since The World is equally as fast, that won´t be happening.

The outcome of the fight now hinges on how much playing around Dio decides to do.

    . . . What?

Hint: speed = distance / time. Not happening.

It happened in Heroes! speed girl talking to Hiro while he had "stopped" time.

Pssh. Can The World stretch his fingers out? I didn't think so.

This is the best thing about Dio's power:

Lol, that's so true. When you think about it, Dio is actually really goofy.

Watch the OP, it changes slightly

    HS - Episode 47

    ----------------------------------

That was tight. I really thought Dio would have died right at the end, but this persistence really is Dio for you. Too bad he becomes less manly after absorbing Joseph's blood. How does that even work?

I loved the changes to the OP.

I suppose that's one way to deal with having a villain with a broken power. Just give the hero the same power.

Not sure I understand why though. It made sense when Dio had the same power as Joseph and Holly, that vine theme, because it was like Dio had two stands. His own, and then Jonathan's. And you could think that Vine power just ran in the family.

But if Dio's own power is stopping time, not sure why Jotaro would have the same ability. Unless Jotaro's dad is secretly a Brando or something.

    Episode 48

Well, it's over.. It didn't give any hints to a next season.. has anyone got some news about this? I understand there is more in this series.

Even though Joseph's comeback was a bit of a stretch, it was a nice way to end this arc.
Jotaro's last attack, was that Hamon, or just a very hard kick?

That was a pretty epic battle. Almost made up for the entire rest of this arc, which, I really don't understand the hype for.

Putting Dio's blood into Joseph seemed like a really bad idea. And I wonder if it's going to have repercussions later. At a MINIMUM it should have made Joseph a vampire.

I might have chalked it up to Jojo suddenly learning Hamon, but Hamon doesn't work on Stands.

But without using a Sunlight Overdrive, there's no real logical reason why that attack should have put down Dio. And there's no reason Dio shouldn't have just stopped time again while his legs healed.

Yep, since that's exactly what happened to the Void fellow (Vanilla Ice?) - but I suppose he didn't turn (for who knows why) until the first time he died. Perhaps Joseph Joestar will become our next villain?

I first thought Jotaro learned how to use the Ripple when he was younger, but on review I confused him with Joseph. Maybe Dio's leg wasn't healed properly after all?

Anichart hasn't listed more Jojo for the coming season, and I've heard of no news for more.

They were probably waiting to get all the ratings for this season before deciding to spend money animating the less popular seasons.

Even if it wasn't, I don't know why A. A punch from Star Platinum would cause his whole body to blow apart and B. Why Dio couldn't just regenerate from it. Vampires seem to regenerate everything else.

How I thought this fight was going to go in the beginning, was that Jojo would have to defeat Dio, and then Joseph would finish him with a Sunlight Overdrive to the head.

I'm going to go with Jotaro doing a magical ripple punch at the end to cause Dio to explode.
When Joseph and Dio were fighting earlier, Joseph was using ripple-infused stand to protect himself, which Dio very carefully avoided punching with his own stand.

I'm also going to chalk Joseph not being a vampire up to ripple as well.

In the end, it doesn't really matter, because this is a bizarre adventure and anything goes.

I'm surprised people are still watching this despite the many inconsistencies described in the posts.

If anyone can get away with "rule of cool", it is JoJo.

I'm of the opinion that no one should get away with breaking rules they set themselves.

tbh i found this final battle rather lackluster. It was an okay fight, a fun to watch fight. But after all this time of hyping up Dio as some sort of uber being, it was just too ... regular. Towards the end of the fight, it even felt as if Jotaro was the villain - super quickly adapting to The World´s powers, and even making Dio engage in careful approaches instead of simply punching Jotarl dead during stopped time. And he lost his cool too quickly, too.

    Dont know.
