    That Awkward moment

You download a batch anime that you think is subbed and turns out to be dubbed cause you read "Eng Sub" instead of "Eng Dub", kms. Highschool DXD BorN. Dubs should never exist in the internet at all.

As long as dubs are made, of course they are going to be released to the Internet at large as well.

You are better off than me, though, since you should be used to dubbing in general. Over here nothing ever gets dubbed aside from shows aimed at little children (because they can't read subtitles). I reckon it's because of that same tradition that many nature documentaries are dubbed, as many children like to watch animals doing stuff. Or perhaps it's a separate tradition. At least it's not 100%, so I can readily recognize Attenborough's legendary voice.

Maybe true but I find English voice acting to be bad, very very bad.... :/

Gone and deleted. maybe I am spoiled for the Japanese voice acting. I watch very little English voiced anime/cartoons. Probably just Family guy at the moment.

English dubbing of obscure shows are bad because they get subpar actors. Good actors do awesome work. Look at Pixar and Disney 3D animated movies.

You also get the equivalent awkward moment when you get a show with subtitles comming from the dub.
Unwatchable when you're used to japanese language with corresponding subtitles, ie proper length/rythm/timing.
But japanese language audio, with dub english subtitiles is just impossible to follow for me.

All the things I really like to do are either illegal, immoral, or fattening. And then: Golf.

Ouch! ya I have had this happen and I'm like I thought Aniki is brother not "Sir" or "Ojii-san" as mister. I get you. If translated properly probably see high quality subs. It really bothers me to see Recognise instead of recognize cause here in Canada we use Recognize. Makes me think most subs come out of Liverpool nowadays.

You should grow some tolerance if you let a thing like that bother you.

I'd like to write everything the English way (being a European), not the American way, but I have a difficult time remembering which is which.

I was thinking about how dub transcripted subtitles are so far from the original that if you know a bit of the language, you can't enjoy the show anymore.
The difference beetween what you hear and what you read makes it impossible to follow the show anymore.
First because the dub is so localised at times.
Second because when dubbing, the translators know the whole story and rearrange scenes. Key elements are delivered differently and are not synchronized with the original anymore.
