She already suspects them of hiding something from her, and she doesn't see the immediate danger she's in. This guy was introduced as a client of her father's company- someone close enough for him to bring into their home and ask for advice from, allegedly. How dangerous can he be? Reika also does think she is the smartest person in the room- that's early college life for ya.

Her involvement and being a weak link is a really fun conflict to navigate right now as an ally who needs to be kept in the dark, so I react to the same frustration as you two but with abject entertainment. This is a great weekly watch right now.

My burning question is how dad's gonna proctor a search of Majima's home without arousing suspicion since he's his only point of Yakuza contact as far as I can tell, unless he plans on another naked field trip into the cabaret dumpster?

    episode 9:

The biggest plothole in this story is how the Yakuza apparently don't put the wife under surveillance AT ALL. All the plans only work because she's able to move freely lol.

On the episode: I don't quite understand Tetsuo's choice to have Kyouichi killed. Aren't the other yakuza much more likely to get rid of him and possibly his entire family after the murder case is cleared? Doesn't matter who did it, but at least Kyouichi seemed to be someone who could be convinced to let Tetsuo live, while Takeda and his group's boss don't give a shit.

The wife has avoided suspicion, apparently. Matter of fact, none of his family have been suspicious in the slightest since this whole thing started. That's Reika's biggest contribution: feeding the clueless act by being clueless.

As far as throwing Kyouichi under the bus, it was made clear that by this deadline he (Kyouichi) would frame Tetsuo for the murder if they hadn't found another lead, the killer, or Nobuto himself. That was the deal to not kill him in the warehouse after the first abduction. Him being devoured by the organization is the 'cleanest' way out of their agreement, the most pressing threat to Tetsuo's life and family right now. I'm sure he'll have to deal with the rest of the organization next.

By the by, this is low key Death Note tense right now.

    episode 10:

this is so dumb. Kyouichi by sheer luck finding the ladder, finding the scratches, and combining everything. Also walking around with a gunshot wound that's bleeding so hard that blood keeps dripping to the ground. But also Tetsuo. Why would he feel safe now? If I were him, I'd assume the yakuza are gonna murder my whole family to keep things under wrap.

This anime continues to be infuriating.

Definitely gonna get shot by the police.

And all of the action scenes in this show, last episode in particular, have been shoestring-budget ugly. The kind of corner cutting stuff you used to see in late night ecchi anime. So few anime can have good animation and writing.

Was that the last? It felt like we got the "Light" ending... I'm expecting an "L" arc.

Everything is about wrapped up, but it was sort of abrupt.
