I guess... I don't know if it's just be, but it seems rather lifeless compared to your previous ones. It might be the render too.

Still, I think the new colour background works better than the last. That much is certain.

I don't really log in to post anymore (since I haven't had any real creative inspirations for photoshop in awhile, though I do work occasionally), but I visit the forums nearly every two-three days at the most. Now, being a fellow Photoshop artist, I like to see everyone else's creations and compare them to what I know... try and learn some more. So basically, I'm logging in to ask shinta if it's possible for you to actually post your sigs instead of always changing your current? I've missed... probably the last 5 or 6 sigs you've made and why they got the criticism they got (minus your most recent Asuka one). I apologize if my post seems demanding, that isn't my intention... simply asking if that would be possible. Thanks.

PS: If I can actually find time to sit down and finish the several sigs that I've been working on, then I'll be able to post my own again.

I love the first one. The red is nice and rich and it makes it pop much more. Goes well with your profile pic too.

However I still think that the best one you've have was the one before this one with the girl holding the flower. That was also a nice one.

There has only ever been room in my heart for one Miyo.

I'm predicting shinta goes for a Railgun sig, and a Yin sig. Though, depending on how Fairy Tail turns out, it could be Erza all the way. No Sawako (Kimi no Todoke), she's mine.

Once I can find some decent renders that is.

A goofy shot of her is the best available that I can currently find.

I'm always partial to simplicity, but without better renders, there's really nothing to inspire me to fill in the whitespace. Blank look, blank sig.

And an Erza sig would be epic indeed, but Zell would kill Shinta with fire if he ever stole Biri Biri from him

I don't think I will ever make a Biri biri sig. I like her as a character, but I am not particularly fond of her looks (art style and face) which is the main focus in my sigs.

Yin and Erza are a definite, as long as good scans come out.

I actually really like that blank sig. The only thing I would add is a border with the same shade as the render, and/or maybe a Hiragana character "E..." or "E-" in the middle of the blank space on the left side.

Didn't have much to do so I tried making a Shinobu sig. The background is made from scratch. Aside from that, I added some shadows and softened the ones already drawn in to match the BG. I was trying to go for a vampire look with pale skin but really contrasting hair and eyes, but I'm not sure if I overdid the contrast because of my monitor (which has weird brightness).



Here is one with slightly less contrast.

The lines on the render aren't very smooth (looks grainy), and the other problem with it is that it's really hard to tell it's Shinobu without the distinctive tips to her hair. It looks more like a blond Rei Ayanami wearing goggles. I'm not certain that Shinobu is that pale either. With SHAFT playing around with the colors all the time it is hard to be sure, but in episode 8 her skin color is the same shade as Araragi's.

The background looks great though.

The paleness is intentional. It is like a personal touch to emphasize her vampire nature. I can't really do anything about the hair though. The scan won't permit any of the tips to enter.

The big problem is indeed the lines. Maybe I will try to blur them a bit to make it less grainy. Still, since I don't plan to use this sig, I can't really get the motivation to edit it anymore.

I tried it with a border and with my username on it and it just looked out of place. Simplicity really is best for Sawako.

I think it might be too soon to use a signature. I've spent so long without one, that my posts look very strange with one.

Perhaps it might be time for Miyo to move on out of my avatar...

Misaki Mikoto is still my favourite one. It's also the cleanest.
