I actually enjoyed that chapter a lot. If only we could consistently receive them. Hopefully we will, because Naruto and Bleech (misspelled on purpose) are really meh lately.
I was kind of confused, since I had forgotten about that whole story. Guess I'll have to go back and read it.

After trolling everybody by psyching people about about 291, it serves me right to miss a bunch of chapters. Oh well, time to read.
Cell was closing his eyes while Netero slapped him around.
Sweet, Gon is finally getting some real one on one fighting. Celestial Tower was sweet, but he didn't fight in York Shin, and his fight in Greed Island sucked.

Crappy chapter until the last couple of pages, which are awesome.
I didn't find it to be all that bad, actually. But those last pages...geez!

Yeah, but it's important that the bugs remember their previous human lives. The hunters are losing to the ants. If Netero loses, there will be nobody who can stop Mereum. So he'll have to somehow stop himself from taking over the world.

Again, no problem with that... but it's the wasting of a complete chapter on them with all the awesomeness going around that made it a bad chapter. They can as easily incorparated some of those panels into other chapters and had pretty much the same effect without affecting the pace of the action. We're reaching climax stuff at the moment, let's keep the intensity going.
Anyways, 297 was awesome. And loved that panel with Netero giving the finger.
I wonder what Netero could possibly do now? If I remember correctly, expelling your aura like that would severely lower your vitality (as we have clearly seen...Netero looks closer to the extremely elderly man he is). I wonder if the next chapter, he goes all saibaman on Not-Cell? .
